Hello, I'm Caroline, designer, owner and maker at Ophelia Designs, based only a short walk from the creamy sand dunes of the Somerset coastline in South West England.
Inspired by nature and travel
I created my business in 2000 having always been creative to the core and spending so much of my spare time painting and designing. Along side my corporate job, I started having my work featured in many beautiful boutiques in Devon.
Bursting with ideas, inspired by nature and my travels I knew I had to design full time. 25 years later I am still brimming with new ideas, my surroundings still providing me with endless inspiration and joy.
My business has evolved through the years; initially offering bespoke wedding stationery, (earning me a highly commended award and a nomination for best wedding stationer in 2008 by the National Wedding Awards).
I soon added brand, logo and surface pattern design, fine art commissions and wholesale to shops across the globe with stockists in Canada, Australia and Italy in addition to the UK. I launched my Etsy shop in 2016 specialising in bespoke albums, stationery, paper goods and art prints.
I hand-paint my designs using watercolours, gouache and acrylics and have also started exploring and enjoying oils.
If I'm not busy creating, then you'll find me walking our dog (Cashy) along the beach, chasing sunsets and the changing seasons with my polaroid camera.
